Last term we practised plays from our books in reading. We practised for 2 weeks until one friday (a really exiting day) we peformed them.
Everyone bought costumes. I was so embaresed because I wore a pink dress and well everybody stared but in a"WOW" sort of way.
During my play (I didn't know it but Nicola told me after) I was supossed to be acidently knocked over and when I did I swung back and my undies were showing! I think I was a bit behind the curtin so the adiencie probbly didn't see. The adience was only my class.
Our group (pink) did " Ouch Flight". I was the hostess, Richard was Jamie, Nicola was the pilot, Tom was the bearded man and the longhaired sufer, Eve was Mrs Douglus and Mia was the woman with the hat.
One the day Tom was sick so Mia was the beared man and the long haired surfer as well her current part. It would've been hard since she hadn't practised but she was really spot on! Everyone thought it was really nice of her and when Tom came back we told him and he thought it was nice of her 2! Oh and because Tom was away we had to use Sarah's drink bottle for the play. ( Sarah is not in my group) The reson is he was gonna bring a empty fly spray bottle for the play. We used Sarahs bottle for rehersles and since Tom was absent we used it again.
Now, just incase you want to know, green, group did strega nonna. It was an italian play and just as great as ours!
Yellow, group did the gingerbread man. This is a well known play. Thiers was really good because they had only five people!
Purple, did well I don't remember but i'll get back to you when I find out.
This time I'm writing about now, term 4. Our group is reading "Penny Pollards diary". It's pretty cool so far and we've changed groups. Instead of Eve, Nicola, Tom, Mia, Richard and me it's: Estellle.L, Richard, Josh, Luca, Mia and me. Instead of reading we acually do handwriting. Joint. Since the grade 3's are almost in grade 4, we got to do the speed loops aswell! Yesterday we did a piece of writing about pearls and clams. Mainly where to find them. I learnt quite a few interesting things about pro handwriters. Here are the ones I remember: Good hand writers, if they are left handed tilt their book to the right and the left if they're right handed. Their feet are always flat. They have a very sharp pencil. They take their time. Their head is always looking at the paper.
We had to do all these things.
When we were writing, Miss Youla put on some classical music to help our hands flow. I don't know about anyone else but it helped me. Somthing kinda funny happened. Miss Youla wrote the 30th of December instead of November. Today is the 1st of December.
Today is the 8th of December and we are still doing handwriting.
